Sometimes the dream home or the perfect property has turned into a house of horrors as the average home buyer doesn’t have the insight and qualifications to see beyond the bells and whistles.
TWO42 Building Consultants provides a professional unbiased report of the whole property and will report an any visible defects that may cause problems in the future. Due to our unbiased position, it allows TWO42 Building Consultants to provide clarity and vision to any future purchase.
TWO42 Building Consultants provides three inspection packages to ensure you can have peace of mind before cooling off on your new home.
- Basic package: this is an external and internal visual inspection where TWO42 BC will accompany you on an open inspection and give you a verbal expert overview of the general quality of the dwelling. The purpose is to give you the client a more informed insight into the proposed building purchase. This is so you may have confidence in submitting an offer subject to an official building inspection.
This service is as follows:
TWO42 Building Consultants will attend any open inspections with you and give general verbal comment on each dwelling inspected.
The fee for this is $150.00 for the first house and $50.00 for every dwelling after that (in a 24hr period).
If you decide to submit an offer on a dwelling that TWO42 Building Consultants has inspected with you; and you decide to engage TWO42BC to undertake an official building inspection, then $50.00 will be discounted off the price of any of the below packages.
- Standard Package: You will be provided with an official report that uses a combination of photos and comments on the dwelling. This report includes an inspection of all rooms, including any carports, sheds and outbuildings. The report will also include the inside of the roof cavity (subject to clear access) and/or the underfloor – (if access is possible in a safe manner).

- The Premium Package: You will be provided with an official report that uses a combination of photos and comments that take in the complete property from the front boundary to the rear fence.
This package also includes an inspection with infra-red heat sensing imagery technology. This technology can help identify any potential water leaks, hotspots in ceilings from inefficient insulation, electrical heat and indicate the possibility of active vermin nests. A visual inspection for termite detection will be completed – looking for the existence of /or damage left by termites.
Further inspection using state of the art technology showing the component quality are useful in multi-story constructions where access is restricted.
Areas covered by such Technical Inspections are:
- Roof, gutters & flashings.
- Solar panels.
- Roof vents.
- Or any other potential abnormal areas.
